Withdrawal Agreement Articles

Part Six sets out the institutional arrangements underlying the agreement and how VA disputes are to be resolved. The main changes to the sixth part of the March 2018 draft concern disputes relating to the agreement itself, which the Commission had initially proposed to settle by the CJEU if it could not be resolved by the Joint Committee. Instead, the November draft proposes in article 170 that all disputes that are not resolved by the Joint Committee be brought before an independent arbitral tribunal that makes a binding decision on the dispute. However, if the dispute requires the interpretation of terms or provisions of EU law, Article 174 requires the court to submit them to the CJEU for a binding interpretation of the terms or provisions that the court is then required to apply. The Headquarters Agreement between the United Kingdom and the European Banking Authority of 8 May 2012, the Exchange of Letters concerning the application of the Protocol on the Privileges and Immunities of the European Communities to the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products of 24 June 1996 in the United Kingdom and the Agreement on the inclusion of the Galileo Security Monitoring Unit of 17 July 2013 shall apply to the European Bank, each at the European Bank. the European Medicines Agency and the Galileo Safeguard Agency until their transfer to a Member State is completed. The date of notification by the Union of the date of completion of the relocation shall constitute the date of termination of those hosting agreements. `supply of an article intended for distribution, consumption or use` means the fact that, at the end of the manufacturing phase, an existing and individually identifiable article is the subject of a written or oral agreement between two or more legal or natural persons on the transfer of ownership, other ownership or possession of the article in question; or is the subject of an offer to one or two natural persons to conclude such a contract; framework agreements concluded before the end of the transitional period which have not expired or which have ended on the last day of the transitional period; or 6. The border between the Eastern Sovereign Control Area and the territories of the Republic of Cyprus over which the Government of the Republic of Cyprus does not exercise effective control, for the duration of the suspension of the application of the acquis in accordance with Article 1 of Protocol No 10 within the framework of the external borders of the Sovereign Control Areas for the purposes of this Article. This border can only be crossed at the border crossings of Strovilia and Pergamon.

With the prior agreement and in cooperation with the authorities of the United Kingdom, the Republic of Cyprus may take further measures to combat illegal immigration of persons who have crossed that border. .
